About Us
Kehilat Shiloh is a family-friendly Messianic Jewish fellowship network of believers that came together under the truth within the Scriptures with an emphasis upon the true meaning, intent, and context of the original Hebrew text of the Torah and the Tanakh as well as the Aramaic and Greek of the Brit ha Chadasha.
On occasion, we also review deuterocanonical
books such as the Apocrypha, the Book of Jubilees, and the Books of Enoch. We practice the Berean
approach to Scripture studies during our Torah studies during services (Acts
17:11):
"Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in
Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and
examined the scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."
We live, love, and worship together as a community in observation of the Torah and the principles within it. We observe Erev Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, the High Holy Days, Kashrut-level dietary restrictions, biblical tithing, the Ten Commandments, and the Great Commission of Yeshua to the best of our collective abilities. We intend to resume Shabbat day services in the near future as well.
In addition to conducting services, Kehilat Shiloh is also tasked with supervising the founding and operation of a kibbutz-style community in the Gilas of New Mexico. A small yeshiva will be added to the project later.

KEHILAT SHILOH MEMBERSHIP
Membership within Kehilat Shiloh is a legal requirement before someone may become a member of the future Kibbutz Shiloh to be founded in the Gilas.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in one God — the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Creator of the universe.
We believe in the Father (YHWH), the Son (Yeshua), and the Holy Spirit (Ruach haKodesh)
THE MESSIAH YESHUA
We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world (see I John 4:14-15).
We believe that Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah prophesied in Scripture, and we believe in His soon-coming return.
He is the living embodiment of the Word of God (see John 1:14), the Light from the Beginning, and the instrument through which all things were made (see John 1:3 & Proverbs 8:22-30).
We believe in Yeshua's virginal conception, sinless life, miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and
SACRED SCRIPTURE
We believe that the Bible — composed of the Tanakh (the Hebrew Bible or "Old Testament") and the New Testament — is the inspired Word of God. We accept its teachings as the final authority in matters of faith and practice (see II Timothy 2:16-17).
We believe that the Torah is still in effect and will not pass away until both Heaven and Earth pass away (see Matthew 5:17).
We live, love, and worship in observation of the Torah and God's principles within it. We observe the Friday evening Erev Shabbat and the Saturday Shabbat services with a public oneg or communal meal.
We observe the monthly Rosh Chodesh services and sightings of the new moon.
We observe the moedim (appointed times) of Pesach (Passover), Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Shavuot, Yom Teruah (Rosh Hashana or the Feast of Trumpets), Yom Kippur, and Sukkot (the Feat of Tabernacles).
We follow the Torah's dietary laws, such as the prohibitions against eating pork, shellfish, catfish, and blood.
We obey the practice of tithing or giving offerings and the practice of benevolence to those in financial need. We acknowledge the second and third tithes and encourage others to observe these lesser known tithes as they are able.
We follow the Great Commission to preach the Good News and to disciple others in the teachings of Yeshua.
We follow the Ten Commandments and other utterances of God in the Scriptures to the best of our abilities.
We believe that Yeshua came to fulfill the Torah by living it out, and that He did not come to do away with it. Rather, Yeshua became the living example of how to behave daily in accordance with the Torah.
SALVATION
We believe that true salvation is by faith and not by works (see Ephesians 2:8). Instead, real faith produces works as a byproduct through the power of the Holy Spirit (see James 2:14-26).
We believe the blood of the Messiah provides atonement for all sings (I John 2:2).
We believe in the Great Commission and its extension to all people on Earth, both to the Jew and the Gentile, with the path of salvation bein open to all who hear His Word, believe in it, and choose to walk in the Way that He taught us to wal
ISRAEL
We reject Supersessionism (Replacement Theology) and believe that Israel and the Jewish people are still God's Chosen People. They have not been replaced by Christianity (see Jeremiah 33:20), and the Word of God was committed to them (see Romans 3:2).
We believe that non-Jewish believers are grafted into the "commonwealth of Israel" through spiritual adoption by Yeshua (see Romans 9-11 & Ephesians 2).
We believe that Israel was and still is the Chosen People of YHWH and that His covenant with Israel is still valid and in force in the modern era. We believe in the unification of the body of the Messiah within the Kingdom of YHWH. We agree with and implement the grafting-in process as illustrated in Acts 15.
We believe that the modern state of Israel is the beginning of the fulfillment of prophecy (see Hosea 6:2, Isaiah 66:8, and Ezekiel 36) in preparation for the return of Yeshua the Messiah.
